Dr. Benson M. Karanja
We are pleased to invite you to join the students, faculty, staff and Board of Trustees of Beulah Heights University (“BHU”) in celebrating its 100 years of existence and service in the Atlanta Community. This Centennial Celebration Gala will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Georgia Aquarium.
Since 1918, BHU has been preparing leaders for domestic and global missions. Birthed out of a mandate from God, Beulah Heights Bible Institute began with a heart to train leaders and missionaries and send them to the world. Today the landscape has changed. We are now bringing leaders from other countries and sending them back to their native country; where they are making major impacts and changing their communities. One Kenyan pastor graduated, journeyed back to his home country and started a Bible college that now has 800 students. One Chinese pastor started a church, which has grown to 100,000 members!
We consider all our financial partners as friends in ministry––friends who know the value of investing in the eternal nature of our mission. Without your participation, it is impossible to continue investing in students who become change agents around the world. Each of you are important to this mission. Join BHU as we pray for and support the work of men and women who are impacting others in communities all over the world.
Currently, there are approximately 600 students per semester (1,500 yearly). Among those we have an average of 25-30% who represent more than 25 countries. Approximately 75% of our students receive Federal Financial Aid and 25% pay from their pocket. However, the federal grants and cash pay do not meet the cost of study at our University. BHU subsidizes this by giving an average of $200K in scholarships per semester; which is a large undertaking for a small university like BHU. This is why your support is very important.
We have several opportunities available for you to participate in this monumental occasion. It is our sincere hope that you will consider partnering with us by becoming an event sponsor, donating items for our silent auction, and/or purchasing a table for the Centennial Celebration Gala. Enclosed please find information highlighting event details and sponsorship opportunities.
